Harrison Advanced Rods 11ft Avon 1.1/4lb tc (reviewed by William)

This is an extremely robust and versatile rod, at 11ft it’s the perfect all-round length for most of my fishing situations. A true Avon through action, so expect seemingly nail biting action with double figure fish; but there’s almost a bottomless reserve of hidden power that can wear down fish in no time, akin to being attached to a bungee rope!

Comes with a screw down reel seat and doubled legged Seymo Ceramic rings, and cork handle. I’ve had this blank made/finished off by custom rod builders in the past, but I favour Harrison’s own build as they seem to have a better idea on the ring spacing; so I warmly recommend the off the peg rods! Every man and his dog who can tie a rod ring on these days think he’s a craftsman! The Avon is a really good choice of rod, for anyone who wants to be versatile without compromise, light spinning, touch legering, trotting, float fishing close quarters for carp and tench, even small live baits for perch and zander!
